Batik - Three Classes : August 5, 12, & 19 • 1pm to 3pm each week


Ancient art of fabric decoration using hot wax, dyes and paints. Wax is brushed, dripped, poured onto flat fabric (canvas, cotton, heavy paper). Dye is painted on fabric, alternating layers of wax with color. Wax is ironed out between layers of newspaper. Voila...a masterpiece!
