WELCOME TO OUR ARTBUS!

Come make with us!

Our motto is "Art to All!" And oh, do we mean it! Introducing the delightful ArtBus—the coolest mobile art studio on wheels, ready to roll into any and all communities within a 40-mile radius of our cozy nest in Staunton, IL!

This isn’t just any bus; it’s a magical chariot filled to the brim with supplies for pottery, sewing, stained glass, dazzling drawings, splendid paintings, fun-tastic felting, and sparkling jewelry. With the ArtBus, we’re turning the streets into colorful canvases and vibrant workshops, delivering a dash of artistic joy to children and adults who might not have had the chance to let their creativity shine. Hop on board, and let’s paint the town—one masterpiece at a time!

We work in a rural area made up of small communities, many with limited transportation and access. These villages, often home to 50-1,000 people, face economic challenges that keep many families and students from joining art programs like ours. Our Art Bus breaks down these barriers by bringing free events directly to them. We also offer art lessons to people who can’t leave their homes, including those in group and retirement homes. Through these programs, we help our community members make art and watch as they carry those creative skills into other parts of their lives.

In the first few years of running the ArtBus, we brought art lessons to people of all ages at parks, schools, festivals, and community centers. We’ve teamed up with groups like the Madison County Juvenile Detention Center to support at-risk youth, the Community Link Foundation to teach adults with disabilities, and Royal Family Kids Camp to offer summer fun for foster children in Macoupin County. By taking the ArtBus directly to them, we give opportunities to those who might not otherwise have them. So far, we’ve visited over 100 communities—and we’re excited to keep growing!

Since our first workshop with the ArtBus, many community groups have contacted us. Most can only afford $100-200 to bring the bus to their location, but each visit actually costs over $600. Thanks to support from donors, funders, and foundations, we're working to reach more underserved communities in need. Our ArtReach program helps us connect with people who don’t usually have access to art, finding ways that work best for them.

As of 2025, we’re celebrating fours years of achieving our “art to all” mission with the Artbus.
