Miss Ruthie will teach students how to create several ceramic candlestick holders. Students will learn simple handbuilding/slab-building techniques, simple glaze techniques, how to use a variety of clay tools, and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will make as many candlestick holders as time allows in class, and will decorate and glaze for a once-fire. Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to the class and relax while making art.
