Miss Ruthie will teach students how to create this Eastery ceramic deviled egg plate. Be the talk of your family’s Easter gathering with this adorable functional piece! Students will learn simple slab, carving, and underglaze techniques; how to use a variety of clay tools; and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will make one plate in class, hand-paint the decorations with underglaze, and glaze with a clear glaze that night to be ready for a once-firing process. Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to the class and relax while making art.
