Miss Ruthie will teach students how to create a ceramic paper towel roll holder. A nice addition to any kitchen, studio, or craft room! This is an opportunity to make an everyday household item into a custom piece of art made for just your space. Students will learn simple slab and underglaze techniques, how to use a variety of clay tools, and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will make one paper towel roll holder, and glaze and decorate that night to be ready for a once-firing process. Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to the class and relax while making art.
