Miss Ruthie will teach students how to hand-build a ceramic platter and explore applying different textures. Students will learn simple slab and stamping techniques, how to use a variety of clay tools, and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will make, decorate, and glaze their platter in class to be ready for a once-firing process. Students are encouraged to bring snacks, drinks, or whatever else needed to help you get comfortable and relaxed while making art.
