Miss Ruthie will teach students how to create a ceramic watercolor palette you can fit into an Altoids tin you can bring along on your summer, outdoor adventures. Students will learn simple handbuilding/slab-building techniques, simple glaze techniques, how to use a variety of clay tools, and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will get one tin and can make as many mini palettes as time allows in class, and will decorate and glaze for a once-fire. Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to the class and relax while making art.
